Lil Shining Stars 2-6Yrs

PLEASE SEE ALL IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW

A NOTE FROM OUR DIRECTOR

The opportunity to perform in a concert is an exciting, empowering and confidence-building part of the training process. This is where we love to watch our students learn about performance, rehearsals and teamwork while they enjoy the opportunity to showcase their skills in a professionally run production. Concerts are a wonderful way for students to showcase the results of their hard work and for family and friends to join in the pride of their achievement. We love giving all students the chance to perform for their family and friends in this supportive and fun environment and encourage even our youngest and newest performers to be involved.

Please note: In order to receive your costumes and participate in the concert , please ensure your invoice is up to date.

This is without a doubt the highlight of our year and we are giddy with excitement to show you how hard our dancers and cheerleaders have been working!

Thank you for taking the time to read all information contained on this site. It should cover any questions you have, if not, please feel free to reach out to one of our staff members. We hope you are all looking forward to the concert as much as we are!

REHEARSAL

Saturday 19th December 2026 @ 9:00AM

At NRG Studios Allstars, we understand that the end of the year is a busy time for families, so we hold our rehearsal on the same day as the concert! Students will be dropped off at 8:45am for a 9:00am rehearsal start and will stay with us until the end of the concert.

Students are required to arrive at 8:45am, as rehearsal will start at 9:00am. It is important that your lil star arrives on time.

Students should wear their NRG Concert T-shirt and plain black tights upon arrival. Hair and make-up should be done upon arrival, so please pack make-up for any final touch-ups before the concert.

Please ensure your child brings everything they need for the day, including costumes, shoes and snacks. Parents will not be able to drop off food after the initial arrival time.

CONCERT DAY PROCEDURES

DROP OFF & PICK UP

On concert day, all students will be staying backstage with us for the duration of the concert. Students need to have their hair and make-up done and wear their required concert attire when dropped off.

Students are required to arrive at their designated rehearsal arrival time:

LSS: 8:45am for a 9:00am rehearsal start.

Primary Cheer: 12:15pm for a 12:30pm rehearsal start.

Primary Dance: 3:00pm for a 3:15pm rehearsal start.

Upon arrival, we ask that one parent or guardian drops the performer at the designated student drop-off area, where a staff member will greet you. Students will then be signed in at the designated desk in the room at IPAC.

After the show concludes, we will bring all our lil stars out in age groups (5–6yrs and 2–4yrs).

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask us!

SECURITY & STUDENT SAFETY

To help with student organisation and safety, all lil stars will have a buddy who they will stay with the whole time backstage to help with costuming, make up and we will also have some fun activities for your lil star whilst they are backstage.

As always, the safety of our dance family is our #1 priority. On concert day all students will need to be signed in to gain access backstage. All backstage helpers will be issued with passes that are required to be worn at all times. Only NRG staff and registered parent helpers are permitted backstage. We are unable to run messages or food to students, so please make sure they have everything before they come backstage for rehearsal and the concert. There will be a someone at the door for the entire day checking passes. We do this to protect the students, please respect this policy. Please try not to bring anything valuable, especially electronic devices and jewellery. Our studio will take no responsibility if an item is damaged, misplaced, lost or stolen.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

If your child has any Medical Conditions that may require attention whilst in our care or are carrying any medication with them, please notify our supervisors when you sign in.

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING

LSS WHAT TO WEAR

All LSS students will wear their costume, pink stockings and appropriate shoes for their dance style. They will need to bring their NRG Concert T-shirt to wear for their finale routine.

UNDERWEAR

Please be aware that under stage lights, dark coloured or patterned underwear does not look good under light coloured costumes. Please make sure your child is wearing flesh coloured underwear.

HAIR

Dancers will require 2 x High Buns.

You will need to use a lot of hairspray/gel and a fine tooth comb to achieve the slick look and possibly multiple elastics. Please also use an elastic the same colour as their hair.

Please note, for boys neat and tidy hair is all that is required.

MAKEUP

Stage makeup needs to be heavier than normal day makeup. Please try not to cake it on or make it look like a mask as this does not look natural on stage.

Apply make-up base. Foundation should be as close as possible to their natural shade.

Apply brown eye shadow on eye lid.

Define the eyes with black eyeliner. Use along the top and bottom lash lines if possible.

Add black mascara to both top and bottom lashes.

Apply red lipstick.

Please note, boys are not required to wear makeup.

JEWELLERY AND NAIL POLISH

No Jewellery is to be worn (including earrings), please leave all jewellery at home. Also, please remove all nail polish.

WHAT TO BRING

FOOD & DRINK

Students will have a snack break between their rehearsal and concert, parents will need to pack this so students have this from when they arrive. Parents will not be able to drop food/drink off during the day. At NRG we know concert day can be a bit crazy so we want to make it easier for you!

PACKING CHECKLIST

It is suggested that students bring all of their belongings in a bag with everything labelled! Please write their names on everything that they bring, every year we have so many pairs of dance shoes and uniforms lost that are never claimed. Please use the following checklist:
